A prominent community leader and philantropist, Oloye Babatunde Ologburo, has congratulated Dr. Monsurat Sunmonu on her emergence as the 2026 Iconic Woman of the Year, describing the honour as a well-deserved recognition of her outstanding contributions to governance and public service.
In a statement made available to journalists, Ologburo praised Sunmonu’s exemplary leadership record, noting that her impact as the first female Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly remains a reference point in the state’s political history.

Ologburo also noted that Dr. Sunmonu was recently honoured by the Senior Staff Union in Colleges of Education, Nigeria (SSUCOEN), Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo Chapter, in recognition of her enduring contributions to education, leadership, and community development.
According to Ologburo, Sunmonu’s emergence as Iconic Woman of the Year is a testament to her resilience, integrity, and unwavering commitment to service.
