The Ogbomoso-based side, popularly known as the Wolekanle Boys, dominated proceedings from kickoff, asserting control with attacking intensity and disciplined play.

Their early pressure paid off in the 19th minute when forward Olabode Favour capped a well-worked team move to give Ogbomoso United the lead. The advantage was extended in the 25th minute after striker Shittu Taiwo was fouled in the penalty area, with Ogundeji Abayomi calmly converting from the spot.

Abayomi struck again moments later, producing a brilliant long-range effort to complete his brace and hand Ogbomoso United a comfortable 3-0 lead before halftime.
Rehoboth FC responded in the second half, reducing the deficit through a penalty in the 68th minute. However, Ogbomoso United’s defence remained resolute, successfully containing further threats to seal a deserved 3-1 triumph.
