The 4th edition of the Ajilete Youth Summit is set to hold on Tuesday, 23rd December 2025, with the theme “Ogbomoso Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow – Bridging Generations for Peace & Sustainable Leadership.”
Organised by the Ogbomoso Youth for Good Governance Movement, the summit will gather some of the region’s most influential leaders, policymakers and emerging youth advocates to chart a new course for unity, leadership and community advancement.
This year’s event will be hosted under the royal auspices of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomoso, who serves as the Grand Royal Host.
Also headlining the event is the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, who will deliver a special goodwill address highlighting the role of young people in governance and the need for intergenerational collaboration.
Prominent philanthropist and founder of the Wolekanle Movement, Hon. Akinwole Solomon Akinwale (Wolekanle), will deliver the keynote address, focusing on youth empowerment, inclusive leadership and opportunities for sustainable development in Ogbomoso.
The summit will feature a lineup of distinguished speakers, including legislators, traditional leaders, public servants and industry professionals. A major highlight of the day will be the Stewardship Report/Legislative Panel Session, where lawmakers representing Ogbomoso zones will present updates on their achievements and ongoing projects at the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Participants will also engage in panel discussions, live performances, networking and interactive sessions designed to inspire innovation and civic engagement among youths.
The event will take place at Lagbami Osekun Hall, Ogbomoso South Local Government Secretariat, Sunsun, starting at 10 a.m. prompt.
The organisers stated that the summit aims to “bridge the leadership gap between the older generation and today’s youths, promote peace, and build a collective vision for the future of Ogbomoso.”
