4 policemen killed as Armed Robber raid Banks in Iwo

Four police officer were on Tuesday killed by armed robber who raided Iwo town

The armed robbers who also succeeded in robbing three new generation banks in the town were said to have earlier attacked a police station where they killed a police officer

An eye witness told our reporter that the robbers started operation at about 4 pm and headed for the police station where they killed an officer

“ The only officer that could drive the armour personnel carrier donated by the state government was also killed while two others were killed during the operation’ said the eye witness

‘ He said further that the robbers shot sporadically into the air to scare people away before they gained access into the banks .

Unconfirmed report said that one of the robbers was killed during the operation
