A member House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Hon. Abass A. Adigun has described teachers as a special professional breed that develops human capital and mold destinies for transformational drive that gives birth to nation building.

He said this in a congratulatory  message to  teachers in his constituency, Oyo State and Nigeria at large on the world teachers day.

Adigun in statement  signed by his Director Of Media and Communication, Aremu Ibraheem,  maintained that Education is one of my six point agenda during the campaign period and he  has been able to make meaningful contributions since he was elected.

“Some of my contributions include- employment of over 15 teachers to my free tutorial center, obtaining of Jamb form for students which one of the students was on the list of first top ten in Oyo State, scholarship scheme for tertiary institutions and many more.

“Teachers are one of the most influential and powerful forces for equity and access to quality education and are key to sustainable development goals”, he said.

They give children purpose, set them up for success as citizens of our world, and inspire in them a drive to do well and succeed in life. The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and teachers are that critical point that makes a child ready for their future.

He concluded by urging Teachers across his federal constituency (Ibadan North-East & South-East Local Government) to pray for the peace and developments of our federal constituency, Oyo State and our dear nation during and after the period of their teacher’s Day celebration.
