As preparations heighten for the much-anticipated Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival, the organisers have announced the shortlisting of 35 contestants for the next stage of the Talent Hunt competition.
According to the Pre-Carnival Chairman, Mr Banj Ojo, the selection followed a mandatory orientation session held at the Soun’s palace on November 1st, where over 120 entries were reviewed. During the session, participants were briefed on competition guidelines, given the opportunity to ask questions, and engaged in an interactive feedback session with the organising committee.
The Pre- Carnival secretary Chief Pekun Olaleye further explained that the Talent Hunt is one of the key pre-carnival events designed to discover and promote exceptional talents across the five local government areas of Ogbomoso. He added that the initiative reflects the vision of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye (Orumogege III), the Soun of Ogbomoso, to empower young people through creativity and culture.
“The Talent Hunt is not just about entertainment; it’s about building confidence, providing platforms, and connecting Ogbomoso’s youth to greater opportunities,” Chief Olaleye said.
He further revealed that the winner of the competition will go home with exciting prizes and enjoy a one-year promotion package sponsored by the Soun and his team.
The Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival Talent Hunt auditions are expected to kick off soon, showcasing diverse talents in music, dance, comedy, and creative arts.
