No fewer than three people died and many critically injured on Sunday afternoon as heavy truck conveying a container fell on 18 seater passenger bus.
The incident occured at NTA Junction along Ogbomoso – Igbeti road
According to eyewitnesses, an articulated vehicle (trailer) with registration number Ogun DED 222 XBO bearing a large container coming from Ilorin swerved as it tried to link the road leading to Takie, the road there being in terrible conditions, and so had the container fall on a bus with Bauchi state inscription (Bauchi SHR 358 XR) loaded with passengers.
Apart from the driver and may be the two passengers in the front seat who were able to jump out through the window others were trapped
