Twenty-seven members of the River house of assembly elected on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Only five of them who are loyal to the Governor remains in the party .
The lawmakers who are said to be loyal to Nyesom Wike, the minister of the federal capital territory (FCT) took the decion on monday during an emergency plenary session
The plenary session was held at about 8 a.m. on Monday amidst tigt security at the assembly complex Moscow road, Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The legislators attributed the exit from the PDP to crisis within the party .
