The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has declared that it is open for alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the NNPP, if the collaboration or alliance was in national interest, the party was ready for it.

At a press conference following the call by the former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar  for opposition political parties to join forces and confront the APC, the national chairman of the NNPP, Abba Kawu Ali, said the party’s alliance was not limited to opposition parties, adding that it was open for discussions even with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said, “As we stated earlier, while we fully embrace this initiative and applaud it, as a matter of necessity, the NNPP is looking at this issue from a much larger perspective and considering all factors inherent in it,” Ali said of the call by Atiku Abubakar.
