The All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akinola Kazeem, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, joined party stakeholders at a meeting held at Elekuro High School, Olorunsogo, Ibadan.

The well-attended gathering drew APC executives from Egbeda and Ona-Ara Local Government Areas, stakeholders, and party members across Wards 1 to 11 in Ona-Ara LGA.
Ahead of the meeting, Hon. Kazeem had engaged party leaders from both LGAs in separate consultations. Welcoming him to the gathering, the APC Ona-Ara LGA Chairman, Alhaji Prince Abdulwasiu Kolawole Ogundipe, thanked God for the unity and safety of party members and praised the peaceful disposition of the party. He also commended the leadership of APC in Oyo State under Alhaji Olaide Abas.
Ogundipe urged party members to promote unity and love among themselves, noting that the APC in Oyo has already endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term.
Also speaking, former Ona-Ara LGA Chairman, Hon. Biliaminu Ogundele, cautioned against internal divisions, emphasizing that unity is crucial for electoral victory. He acknowledged the presence of other party chieftains, including Hon. Yinka Folarin, Hon. Shina Adeagbo, and Hon. Bola Fawole.
From Egbeda LGA, party leader Alhaji Agbedo appealed to constituents to support Hon. Akinola Kazeem, describing him as a strong advocate for education, people’s welfare, and community development.
In his remarks, Hon. Kazeem expressed gratitude for the support he has enjoyed over the years and officially declared his intention to contest the Egbeda/Ona-Ara House of Representatives seat in 2027.
“It’s time for Ona-Ara to produce the next representative. Egbeda has held the seat for eight uninterrupted years,” he said.
Hon. Kazeem expressed delight at the defection of PDP members from all 11 wards in Ona-Ara to the APC, a move formally welcomed by Prince Ogundipe during the meeting. To further boost party activities, Kazeem also announced a cash donation to the 11 wards in Ona-Ara.
