A public school teacher and academic, Adegbite Isaac Adeeyo, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Ogbomoso North State Constituency seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 elections.
Adeeyo, who hails from Sabi/Taraa Ward 9 in Ogbomoso North Local Government, announced his ambition in a statement made available to journalists, expressing his commitment to providing meaningful and people-centered representation for the constituency.
He said his decision to join the race was driven by a deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing the council, noting that Ogbomoso North was “too important to be left in the care of political importees.” He added that his desire for impactful leadership and passion to promote the interest of the people at the state level were motivating factors behind his aspiration.
According to him, his background as a public school teacher, his brief service as an administrator under the state ministry, and his current position in a tertiary institution have equipped him with the experience needed to understand the struggles of students, the challenges faced by ordinary citizens, and the aspirations of young people.
“I have witnessed the needs of students, the challenges of the average citizen, and the desires of several undergraduate students,” he said.
Adeeyo urged stakeholders and residents of Ogbomoso North to rally behind a “home-grown candidate” with the right philosophy, concepts, and orientation, which he said he represents.
He appealed for the support of party members and the general public, emphasizing that their backing would help achieve the shared vision of progress and effective representation for the constituency.
