The Chairman of the Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival Planning Committee, Hon. Segun Dokun Odebunmi, has assured that this year’s edition will build on the gains of the maiden outing and position the cultural fiesta for global recognition.

Speaking with journalists  recently  on the carnival, Odebunmi, who is also the Okanlomo of Ogbomosoland, said the committee is working on strategic innovations that will make the 2025 edition bigger, better, and more impactful.

“The maiden edition, no doubt, launched the carnival and set the pace for many others. We are not going to relent but will continue with the pace at which we started,” he stated.

He emphasized that the Ogbomoso Cradles Carnival is not just a cultural event but also part of the 25-year development agenda of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, which is focused on promoting culture, strengthening unity, boosting tourism, and driving economic development in the ancient city and it’s environs

Odebunmi noted that beyond the colourful displays and cultural performances, the carnival will stimulate local businesses, create job opportunities, and attract investment to Ogbomoso.

He called on stakeholders, corporate bodies, and well-meaning indigenes to support the vision, stressing that the carnival has the potential to become one of Nigeria’s foremost cultural and economic events.
