2023: Vote for Quality Leaders With Proven Integrity, Catholic Bishops Urge Nigerians

As 2023 genersl election approaches the leadership of catholic church has urged Nigerians to vote only leaders with positive values like proven integrity, truthfulness, trustworthiness and fear of God

This was contained in a communique issue at the end of the meeting of Catholic Bishops of Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province read by Most Rev ‘Leke Gabriel Abegunrin  at the end of two day meeting in Ibadan on Tuesday.

The Bishops in a communique read by the chairman Most Rev ‘Leke Gabriel Abegunrin task pro democracy group within and outside the church to further educate and motivate the people to perform their civic duties

” It is obvious that there is a pervasive longing gor a better Nigeria with the time for National Election already on the horizon, we wish to urge all Nigerians to work more assiduously to be able to vote for quality leaders which Nigeria need at this period.”

On insecurity, the Catholic Bishops expressed their dismay at the continuous bloodshed in many part ot Nigeria and urged president Buhari to ensure a tougher clampdown on the murderous and criminals activities in the country.
