Oyo state Governor Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde on monday insisted on having more female lawmakers at the state House of Assembly in the next political dispensation.
The governor while adressing Peoples Democratic Party PDP stakeholders at the government house on monday evening said ‘we will consider more women for elective position, each Senatorial district must produce at least 1 female lawmaker, and we can have more.
Makinde also urge the aspirants to not to allow their inability to clinch be the party flagbearer dampen their moral but used it to build more relationship
“i started in 2007, i contested and lost but i build relationship, same in 2011, 2015 and in 2019 we all win together” don’t feel bad, don’t loose hope you will have it one day just continue to build relationships.
The governor who also promised to be fair in the selection and approval of consensus candidate said “we will resolve all issues pertaining to the party ticket . Adding that ” This thing is so important to me , all of us must go back go our people with good news that will further engender Unity and progress of our party
