Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi on Wednesday officially declared his intention to run for President.

He is  joining seven other aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who have declared their intentions to run for the same position.

They included, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice president Yemi Osinbajo, Kogo state governor Yahaya Bello

Speaking at the event held at Hilton Hotel  Abuja, Fayemi said  “After a careful consideration of where we are as a nation, I believe that my entry into the race will offer Nigerians the opportunity to examine competing visions for national rebirth”

 He was  in compnay of his wife Erelu Bisi Fayemi, APC Governorship aspirant, Biodun Oyebanji, members of the Assembly and traditional rulers and  others
