Ahead of gubernatorial election in 2019 , Social Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate in 2015 in Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde has began moves to strengthen his relationship with the political associates and relatives of late grand commander of Ibadan politics Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu and former governor of Oyo state Senator Rashidi Ladoja
Engineer Makinde who has not been able to have his mission in politics accomplished remains one of the notable philanthropists in Ibadan as he had through his Omititun foundations shapes lives of many people in the state.
His romance with Senator Ladoja was confirmed by an inside source who hinted that ‘for some time now Engineer Makinde and some of his team member have been meeting with Senator Ladoja and some notable members of Accord Party on how to synergies and form a coalition against APC in 2019.
Engineer Makinde who lost his senatorial bid to Senator Kamoru Adedibu, son of the late Ibadan political warlord was also said to have been meeting with some of the political associates of the Adedibu including Alhaja Bose Adedibu, who still maintains and coordinate Adedibu political dynasty.
This was evidence last week Friday during the 4th Ramadan lecture when Alhaja Bose Adedibu and Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja were physically present at the event with some of their husband supporters.
A close associate of Seyin Makinde who also confirm the move said” Its true oga has been in relating with the Adedibu’s family and some other political leaders in the state, and we are hopeful that the relationship will work out fine and yield positive result in 2019.
