2 killed, Several Injured at APC Campaign in Igboora

2 people were killed and several people Injured on Saturday as the All Progressives Congress APC Campaign train hit Ibarapa Area of Oyo state.

There were clashes in Igboora and Eruwa town but the one in Igboora was more fatal as residents scamper for safety during the mayhem.

An eye witness told our reporter that “The campaign was already going on smoothly when suddenly, gunshot rented the air and later we saw some hoodlums with dangerous weapon attacking people”.

” One cannot ascertain whether those who launched the attack were members of the opposition parties or cult group because they seems to have their target ”

The source who pleaded anonymity
said further that Governor Abiola Ajimobi and some of his aides including the Party’s gubernatorial candidates were about leaving when the incident started and they escaped unhurt.

” Some of the victims are in critical conditions and we pray for quick recovery for them.” the source said

Meanwhile. The ruling All Progressives Congress has accused the Peoples Democratic Party PDP of masterminding the attack while the PDP denied involvement in the dastard act
