NYSC Partners JCI on SDG Activities by Corp Members

That National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has approved a partnership program with the Junior Chamber International, Nigeria (JCI) for the sensitization, recruitment and training of Corps Volunteers as JCI Active Citizens.

 

The approval was contained in a letter signed on behalf of the NYSC Director General by Mr. Y.S. Ehoda-Adi stated that the JCI Active Citizen will operate as a Sub-Group of NYSC/SDG/CDS groups in Six pilot states of Lagos, Rivers, Kaduna, Plateau, Bauchi and FCT. In the partnership, JCI would also provide Training of Trainer Workshop for schedule officers and monitor field activities of JCI Active Citizens CDS members.

The 2018 JCI Nigeria President, JCIN Amb. Adeniyi R. Balogun ensure the commencement of the program with the just concluded 2018 Batch A Orientation Course, JCI Nigeria Team led by the 2018 Director of UN and NGO Affairs, JCIN. Amb. Henry Adedokun visited NYSC Camps in Rivers, Lagos, Plateau, Bauchi, Kaduna and FCT .

 

The JCI Nigeria Ambassador addressed corp members on the introduction of JCI Active Citizens CDS which would provide capacity building to corp members to carry out Sustainable Projects using the JCI Active Citizen Framework as a platform for Community Development Services.

 

The JCI Nigeria Team also spoke on the objectives of the Volunteer and its benefits and called on Corp Members to initiate projects that would solve human and community problems using the 17 Agenda of Global SDG.
