Advanced Studies: Admitted into Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo, in 1964 for A-Levels in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Additional Mathematics, and later studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Liège, Belgium (1966–1972), graduating with distinction.

Professional Career: Worked at Total Nigeria for 13 years, then ventured into private business in 1985, with interests in shipping, manufacturing, banking, agriculture, and transportation.

Business Leadership: Served as director in several companies, including Crystal Bank (later STB, now part of UBA), REAL Shipping, REAL Oil, and Karlander Nigeria Ltd.

Entry into Ibadan Chieftaincy: Became Mogaji of Arusa family, Isale Osi, and was appointed Jagun Olubadan on October 1, 1993, by Oba Yusufu Oloyede Asanike.

Political Career: Elected Senator in 1992 under the SDP; later became Oyo State Governor (2003–2007) on the PDP platform, where he implemented education reforms, recruited teachers, and eradicated guinea worm.
